Tim Long elected to the Venue Management Association board

Hawkridge Entertainment Services announced today that Managing Director, Tim Long CVE (Certified Venue Executive) was recently elected to the board of the Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific). The Venue Management Association is the peak body for venue industry professionals in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. Members represent 300+ venues from diverse venue sectors including sports stadiums, arena, performing arts, convention and exhibition centres, racetracks, showground and festivals as well as suppliers to the industry.

VMA President Leighton Wood said, “On behalf of the members I take this opportunity to welcome our newly elected Directors onto the Board. The depth of experience and passion in our industry ranks is amazing. It is fantastic that these five talented venue professionals will be joining the Board as the Association enters the next phase of its growth. I would also like to thank our members for their engagement in the nomination and voting process.”

On confirmation of the appointment Tim said, “it is a great privilege to represent the association. As a long standing member in both an active and allied capacity I am honoured to have the opportunity. I aim to serve the members and continue the great work that has the association has delivered up until now.” He went on to add, “I look forward to supporting Michael Brierley and the team to continue to deliver the great service to members.”
