Pirtek (Parramatta) Stadium located in Parramatta, NSW is a multi-purpose 20,000-seat outdoor Stadium which officially opened on 5 March, 1986.
Pirtek Stadium was recognised as the home of the NRL team the Parramatta Eels as well as the A-League team the Western Sydney Wanderers and the former National Rugby Union competition team, the Greater Sydney Rams. The Stadium hosted numerous rugby league, rugby union and football internationals, significant national and international sporting events such as the Australasian Super X Championships as well as concerts such as Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney.
Hawkridge Entertainment Services were initially engaged to assist in the planning for the group series of Asian Champions League games at the Stadium and in particular the operational delivery of these events. Subsequently, Tim Long took on the role of Operations Manager throughout the busiest period in the Stadium’s 30-year history.
Services provided included:
Assistance in the delivery of an upgrade project to the Stadium’s offices, change rooms and main events space.
On site responsibility for the liaison between construction and integration with events schedule.
Project management of the integration of a new website including updating design, information and usability.
Review and development of Major Operational documentation including drafting of a Business Continuity Plan.
Assistance in the preparation and delivery of 33 major events completed in 2014 – a record for the venue.
