Create NSW - regional cultural fund
Tim Long represented Infrastructure NSW on the Create NSW Regional Cultural Fund panel for both Round One and Two. His role was to assist in the prioritisation of the investment of $100m. Create NSW is the NSW Government’s arts and cultural driver, which brings together arts, screen and culture functions in an integrated entity. The entity forms part of the Community Engagement Group within the Department of Premier and Cabinet. It is responsible for furthering Government’s vision for NSW. It seeks bold and exciting arts and culture that engages the community and reflects the state’s rich diversity.
The NSW Government delivers the Regional Cultural Fund. It supports the development of cultural infrastructure in regional NSW that enables bold, exciting and diverse arts and cultural activities.
Through the investment of $100 million, the Regional Cultural Fund aims to strengthen regional arts, screen, culture and heritage. It will revitalise local communities through strategic investment.
The Cultural Infrastructure section of Create NSW delivers the Fund. It aims to create significant cultural precincts and infrastructure for New South Wales.
Create NSW aims to raise New South Wales’ cultural infrastructure to world class standards. This ensures that as the State moves forward, it maintains and expands the arts infrastructure on a sound and long-term basis.
