The Marian Street Theatre Feasibility Study was conducted for Ku-ring-gai Council between August and September 2019 with the principal aim of investigating the feasibility of the concept for a café to be developed as part of the Marian Street Theatre project.
The study analysed the proposed space for the café within the theatre in terms of size and type of function that was able to be delivered. It then assessed the competition and potential competitive position of the café. Investigation of the potential commercial demand for a café space then occurred including a review of some benchmark venues. Following this, an analysis of the potential utilisation of the café including discussion of the specific issues regarding the theatre context were outlined. Finally, the study completed a short feasibility assessment of the café occurred outlining the potential for revenue from leasing as well as the generally viability of the café operations.
